Invisible Palace works with local people in order to create and run projects. For this reason, we know it’s important to work in a way that people would expect particularly when it comes to any personal information that we collect.
In this Privacy notice we give details of when and why we collect your personal information and for what purpose, to limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.

What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you sign up for our newsletter or sign up to volunteer with us. Website usage information is collected using cookies.

Newsletter mailing list
As part of the subscription process for our newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about things you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are correct. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails.

Volunteering
If you sign up to volunteer with Invisible Palace we will hold some of your personal details so that we can stay in touch with you about volunteering. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to help us email information to volunteers and to organise volunteering opportunities.
In addition to contact details we may store information about your volunteering preferences, experience, DBS checks or other information that you choose to disclose so that we might better support you as a volunteer. This information will only be viewable by our volunteer managers and will not be shared further.

Who do we share information with?
From time to time Invisible Palace is fortunate enough to receive grant funding or sponsorship. As part of the application and evaluation process for such funding we may share anonymised personal information with other organisations. This could include statistics from events, volunteering, social media, our website or equal opportunities monitoring information.

The information we hold about you can be accessed and changed by you via Mailchimp by clicking the link ‘update your preferences’ at the bottom of Mailchimp messages we send you. As we are a volunteer run organisation and we appreciate it if you are able to manage your own information should it change. You may also unsubscribe from a Mailchimp list at any time.
